I just made this and it was yummy. Only beware of putting the mushrooms on the greens before they've cooled sufficiently (like I did) or u'll have soggy greens - not so yummy ;-)

I know what you mean about "taming" it... I love raw mushrooms, but I still have trouble eating them cooked in almost any form because of the texture. I guess I still need to work on that.
